There is snow on the ground, here in Virginia.
They actually got more accumulation than we did up in New York.
When it snows in Virginia, things shut down. Like the Federal government. And schools, for a week.
The night before a storm, you can count on watching endless local news segments about people descending upon supermarkets to stock up on the essentials: bread, milk, toilet paper. Yup, such panicked stockpiling occurs and is deemed newsworthy each and every time Bob Ryan so much as hints at a wintry mix in the forecast.
It's good to be home.
Especially since my dad already finished shoveling the driveway.
So I'm free to relax and partake of bread, milk, and toilet paper, to my heart's content.

Three cheers for Bob Ryan! Loved watching him, George Michael and Arch Campbell on WRC.
Merry Christmas!
